Various MANDING drum and dance classes are available as part of the MANDING JATA Residency Program. This workshop emphasizes both knowledge of and adherence to tradition; it encourages personal and contemporary evolution while it maintains the integrity and understanding of the tradition.

Literature is available for each rhythm with music notation for the various drums (djembe, dundun, sangban, kenkeni) bells and rattles, place of origin, ethnic group and social tradition.

For dance companies, complete choreography is available with traditional costume information, rhythmic score and songs when appropriate.

Kora and balafon kumbegnos (musical figures) may be provided and private instruction is also available.
